I’m watching a lot of movies these days (compared to how many I used to watch before) and I’ve decided to write a review of the movies I see so that I’ll remember the theme, what I thought about it and maybe even suggest some good ones if friends want my opinion about a good movie to suit their mood. Of course these reviews will be biased and will be written according to my taste and what I notice in them, what I like and even dislike in the movie. I’ve taken up this venture for simple and supposedly stupid reasons. The reasons being the following: practicing on my writing skills so that I can start a professional psycho blog and to help refresh my memory now and then regarding the films I’ve seen and enjoyed. Moreover, when friends ask for my suggestions about what movie they should be watching, I’d like to say, “Yea, I know a few!” instead of “Hmmmm, I don’t exactly remember the name of the movie, but the story goes like this…” So sit back and relax. A few of them might be spoilers and don’t you say that I never warned you.

STAR WARS EPIC

I simply loved all the parts of star wars and I wish George Lucas made some more parts. The queer part is that the 1st three episodes were made after the last three. I remember watching the last three when I was too little to understand any of the hi-tech stuff they were talking about in the movie.

THE PHANTOM MENACE

Anakan Skywalker is a small cute boy in this first part of the star wars epic. He’s the answer to the prayers of the Republic when their main ship crashes Tatooine. I especially enjoyed the flying competition and the part in which young Anakan is finally able to leave Tatooine to fulfill his dream of becoming a Jedi. A special and delicate relationship develops between him and the Queen of the Naboo (although he is a few years younger than her) but it’s not emphasized on much in this part.

ATTACK OF THE CLONES

Ten years later, Anakan Skywalker is still the apprentice of Obi Wan Kenobi and his first mission alone is to protect Queen Padme Amidala (not a wise decision considering the fact that Anakan is young, impulsive and understandably deeply in love with the Queen). Obi Wan Kenobi is on a mission to discover who is behind the plot of killing the Queen and on the way finds out that the Republic has been preparing a clone army of it’s own. More power shifts into the hands of Senator Palpatine and Yoda senses the power of the Dark Force.

THE REVENGE OF THE SITH

I’d say that this part is the most unpredictable of all the other parts. Anakan Skywalker turns to the Dark Side and the identity of the Sith is revealed. It’s got a tragic ending but old fans of Star Wars (who’ve seen the last 3 parts) won’t feel so sad (coz we know what happens at the end of “The Return of The Jedi”, don’t we?).

A NEW HOPE

We are introduced to the character of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo with his big furry friend. They have their own little adventure together and finally with the help of the rest of the rebels, manage to destroy the Death Star.

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

This part is a little incomplete leaving us with the Young Skywalker discontinuing his training to be a Jedi to rescue his friends, Han Solo captured and sent to Tatooine to be kept under the custody of the Hut and Luke getting to know that Darth Vader is his father and not knowing how to deal with it.

RETURN OF THE JEDI

Sadly the last part of the Star Wars Epic but completely satisfactory - Luke gets to know that Leia is his twin sister, Leia and Han Solo profess their love for each other , Luke succeeds in converting his father, Darth Vader and the Sith is destroyed.
The ending was a little "filmy" but hey, who doesn't like happy endings!
